Mega talented author SJ Himes has written a fantastic， pulls-you-in-from-the-very-first-page， amazing， magnificent， exciting， emotionally charged， fast paced， beautiful， gripping， fascinating， sexy as hell， and totally awesome story。 I ended up with a massive book hangover because I just could NOT lay it down。 Simply put， this book and series is so good I want to shout their praises from my roof top。 I would DEFINITELY recommend getting this reading adventure ASAP！！

5 starsOne of the BEST Books of 2021 hands down！This has been a long awaited book in the Beacon Hills Sorcerer series and there was much happy dancing when it arrived on my kindle。 I’ll start by saying I think Sheena Jolie is one of the foremost authors of paranormal/urban fantasy out there in the book world。 Their ability to weave so many plots around the central point is phenomenal and they’ve given us characters over multiple series that feel like good friends to sit and chat with （or you k 5 starsOne of the BEST Books of 2021 hands down！This has been a long awaited book in the Beacon Hills Sorcerer series and there was much happy dancing when it arrived on my kindle。 I’ll start by saying I think Sheena Jolie is one of the foremost authors of paranormal/urban fantasy out there in the book world。 Their ability to weave so many plots around the central point is phenomenal and they’ve given us characters over multiple series that feel like good friends to sit and chat with （or you know go fight crazy bad guys with）， rather than fictional characters。 The BHS series in particular has become a favorite， like that certain pillow or blanket to curl up with， and is a constant re-read or re-listen。For this book in particular， and these characters， SJ has shown their serious writing chops by giving us such well-rounded characters， with internal flaws and demons， that come to life and squeeze our hearts。 No one deserves the ultimate HEA more than Daniel。 No matter what has been thrown at him， what he has been subjected to， he has come through it with such a loving disposition， and there isn’t another out there more suited for him that Rory， a being of chivalry and kindness and life， who can， and does， love Daniel enough to support and not overshadow， to fight for and alongside him。 And we learn more about Cian， his relationship with Rory， and his journey。 This is a hurt/comfort， hella age gap （I mean millennia y’all）， story for the ages。 That seems to be a thing for this author; the ability to give us love stories and couples that stand the test of time， and not just the BHS series。 Of course， all of our favorites are here， Angel and Simeon， Isaac and Batiste， Millie， Eroch （omg wee beastie growth spurts） and more。 No spoilers but seriously， the end… we saw it coming and still WHOA。 If you haven’t started this series， DO IT NOW！ 。。。more

WOW！ Am so happy with this story！ It is everything we've been waiting for and more。 I want to say SO MUCH but also there are quite a lot of spoilers here。 Danny and Rory are their normal adorableness but mixed with sexy moments and intense chemistry。 I loved getting to know more about not only Rory and Cian but the Fae themselves。 Himes is so creative and each plot point flows with the main couple。 Of course past favorites are in there also so you get to see a brotherly bond which just as import WOW！ Am so happy with this story！ It is everything we've been waiting for and more。 I want to say SO MUCH but also there are quite a lot of spoilers here。 Danny and Rory are their normal adorableness but mixed with sexy moments and intense chemistry。 I loved getting to know more about not only Rory and Cian but the Fae themselves。 Himes is so creative and each plot point flows with the main couple。 Of course past favorites are in there also so you get to see a brotherly bond which just as important。 Exciting action and fighting and a great way to end leading us into the next Angel adventure。 I already want to re-read it！ 。。。more

Absolutely loved this 5th book in the series and am sooooo happy it is not the final book in the series！ So many good possibilities for more fantastic stories。This book centers on Daniel， a sorcerer and Angel’s apprentice and Rory， an ancient Fae High Sidhe warrior， older than time。 They finally get their story。 If it’s been a while I would recommend reading book one again as there are a lot of references to how Daniel came to be Angel’s apprentice and what horrors he suffered。 Reading book two Absolutely loved this 5th book in the series and am sooooo happy it is not the final book in the series！ So many good possibilities for more fantastic stories。This book centers on Daniel， a sorcerer and Angel’s apprentice and Rory， an ancient Fae High Sidhe warrior， older than time。 They finally get their story。 If it’s been a while I would recommend reading book one again as there are a lot of references to how Daniel came to be Angel’s apprentice and what horrors he suffered。 Reading book two as well will help solidify your understanding of Daniel and Angel’s relationship and introduce Eroch’s relationship as well。So many facets of the previous stories are pulled together here and several mysteries explained。 But we are left with another mystery that will lead us into book six。I love this author’s writing and the feelings and emotions of the characters are expressed so beautifully。 I really enjoyed getting to know more about Cian and as I have been pulling for him to get a HEA， I am hoping his rehabilitation， begun here， continues。 The book doesn’t even come out until tomorrow and I am already jonesing for the next one！ Such a great series and one you will further enjoy after your initial read by listening to the audiobooks， beautifully performed by Joel Leslie。 。。。more

I really missed spending time with these characters。 I absolutely adored Daniel and Rorys HEA。 Though there was plenty of battle magic and mayhem， the relationship arc between this fae and sorcerer was incredibly sweet and romantic。 Oh and did I mention Smoking Hot？ Yeah folks， sweet little Daniel ain't as innocent as he seems。 There was plenty of steam in this book， and that ain't the only surprise when it comes to the heat。 I'm also just gunna leave you with that tease right there。 ;） I l I really missed spending time with these characters。 I absolutely adored Daniel and Rorys HEA。 Though there was plenty of battle magic and mayhem， the relationship arc between this fae and sorcerer was incredibly sweet and romantic。 Oh and did I mention Smoking Hot？ Yeah folks， sweet little Daniel ain't as innocent as he seems。 There was plenty of steam in this book， and that ain't the only surprise when it comes to the heat。 I'm also just gunna leave you with that tease right there。 ;） I love how "old fashioned" Rory was with his speech and mannerisms。 It makes sense since the fae was around at the dawn of time， but I still enjoyed it。 I also really enjoyed learning more about him and his brother Cian。 It was super intriguing hearing about Cian as a loving brother and not a serial murderer。 There is a lot more to Cian than we ever knew， and I REALLY hope he gets his own book。 According to his brother， Cian has never been interested much in personal relationships outside his twin or even sex， but I have faith Himes can find him the perfect mate。 Daniel is such a caring soul and he has grown so much since we were first introduced to him in the series。 Even in just this book， Daniel appears to come more into his own and the powerful sorcerer he was meant to be。 Our favorite wee beastie Eroch is also very present and going through a growth spurt himself。 It's always fun when we get a chapter from his POV。 This book ends with a tiny bit of a cliffhanger， though it has nothing to do with Daniel or Rory as a couple。 They end this book with a more than solid HEA and their storyline wraps up beautifully。 I may even say this cliffhanger is more like a tease of what's coming in the next BHS book which once again will focus on Angel and Simeon。 Either way I'm there for it！ ** This book was provided by the author in exchange for my honest review** 。。。more

This book was amazing and so worth the wait！ We finally have Daniel and Rory's book and oh man， it didn't disappoint。 The couples in this series are always so sweet to each other but no one was as tender to one another as Daniel and Rory。 They make the sweetest couple and after all they've been through separately in their lives， they truly deserve one another。 This series does such a wonderful job at defining family and the bonds that grow between people who care for one another。 I loved seeing This book was amazing and so worth the wait！ We finally have Daniel and Rory's book and oh man， it didn't disappoint。 The couples in this series are always so sweet to each other but no one was as tender to one another as Daniel and Rory。 They make the sweetest couple and after all they've been through separately in their lives， they truly deserve one another。 This series does such a wonderful job at defining family and the bonds that grow between people who care for one another。 I loved seeing Daniel grow even more than he has in previous books to truly shine as the main character。 He's always been emotionally strong， weathering the shit that life has thrown at him。。。but in this book we see him really come into his own and show off that power that's been simmering under the surface。I really loved getting more info on the Brennan twins and essentially meeting Cian for the first time when he's of a sound mind。 I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Daniel， Rory， and Cian's dynamic in future books。Speaking of future books， that ending was just *chef's kiss*！ When a certain event happened at the end with a high speed chase I just about screamed in delight！ FINALLY！！ I have sooo many questions and cannot WAIT to read the next book！If you're a fan of this series then you'll absolutely love this latest installment。 And if you're a fan of romantic urban fantasy then start this series ASAP！ You won't regret it！5 Stars 。。。more

*sigh* I just read the last word of this book about five minutes ago。 And I loved every moment of it， and as usual， Sheena has created huge excitement for the next book that I'm going to have to wait another year for。 That is my biggest complaint about this book。 That I have to wait a year for the next one。 If you've read the previous Beacon Hill Sorcerer books then you know what makes this series special- and if you haven't， then you definitely need to go back and start at the beginning， with t *sigh* I just read the last word of this book about five minutes ago。 And I loved every moment of it， and as usual， Sheena has created huge excitement for the next book that I'm going to have to wait another year for。 That is my biggest complaint about this book。 That I have to wait a year for the next one。 If you've read the previous Beacon Hill Sorcerer books then you know what makes this series special- and if you haven't， then you definitely need to go back and start at the beginning， with the knowledge that each book is consistently an improvement on the last， to the point that the prose in this book is luscious and evocative， and made me wish that I could write as well。 This installment differs （at least to me） from previous ones in that more attention is paid to the romance between Daniel and Rory- like a lot of attention- so the readers gets to spend a lot of time luxuriating in their love and lots， and lots， and lots， of sex。 Like so much sex。 But it's awesome， and you've come to love the character of Daniel as much as the rest of Sheena Jolie's fans， then you know it's well-deserved。 But Sheena Jolie also deftly raises the stakes on the overarching conflict that has been brewing with the High Council of Sorcery over the last few books， while exploring more about the sidhe brothers Cian and Rory and paying off some marvelous set ups from the end of Book 4。 The Salvatore Estate has hummed back to life again， as has my soul after reading this book， and I can't wait for the next one！ 。。。more

MY GOODNESS THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING。 RL gif of me reading the book。。。SJ Himes is a master worldbuilder and their take on urban fantasy has always been a favorite of mine。 The lore， the pnr creatures， the secrets and the romance all came together in this book to produce their most romantic book to date IMO。 What I loved:1。 Daniel: Angel's apprentice， who was dealt a crappy hand from fate， has gone through so much from the time he was born until Angel saved him。 He is bet， not broken and he grows MY GOODNESS THIS BOOK WAS AMAZING。 RL gif of me reading the book。。。SJ Himes is a master worldbuilder and their take on urban fantasy has always been a favorite of mine。 The lore， the pnr creatures， the secrets and the romance all came together in this book to produce their most romantic book to date IMO。 What I loved:1。 Daniel: Angel's apprentice， who was dealt a crappy hand from fate， has gone through so much from the time he was born until Angel saved him。 He is bet， not broken and he grows stronger and stronger because of his found family rallying around him。 From Angel and Simeon to Isaac and Constantine， he has a support system of the ages。 But it is Rory， the fae， who raises him up and whose faith and love transform Daniel into a more powerful version of himself。 #BetterWithYou 2。 Rory: Who might as well be the swooniest swoon who has ever swooned。 He might be older than dirt， as Angel would say， but seriously where can I get my own Rory？ His love， devotion， power and all around being is just too good to be true。 #SomeoneSpecial 3。 The Plot: This book is less plot heavy。 It focuses on Danny and Rory's relationship and how it progresses， which I was all for。 There is suspense and action， but they were not in the spotlight here。 We see Daniel growing and Rory supporting him。 We also see the birth of a family， made from different creatures and mentalities， which only makes them stronger。 #StrongerTogether4。 The Relationship: Did I mention the swoon？ the romance？ the all around loveliness of this book？ I just can't。 I can't encompass how beautiful these two were， how pure their love is and how they put a smile on my face even when I was also crying。 Sheena。。。 you have outdone yourself！ #BarNone 5。 Steam-o-meter: Steamy！ Let's just say。。。 Rory has a very unique surprise in his pants。。。Ahem。 and Daniel takes full advantage of that fact。 #SpecialAppendagesAreAllTheRage6。 Angst-o-meter: No angst between the MCs！ It's all about the love in this one。 there is some outside interference but they are resolved rater quickly。 but， make sure to prepare your Kleenex for some happy tears because Sheena brought their A-Game here。 #Sniffle 7。 Cian: Rory's serial killer twin。 Is it too early to ask for his book because #Dayum。 I would love to see the character who would bring him to his knees。 #WinkWink 8。 The Cameos: All the gang shows up here。 Angel especially is amazing， because his twinky rage is adorable and powerful at the same time。 Also EROCH！ His POV is just delightful！ #FamilyTies 9。 The Ending: THE ENDING OMG！ It's definitely an HEA for our MCs but it ends with a BIG surprise which will be tackled in book 6！ #WellPlayed 。。。more
